Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the DocVault Android app (“DocVault”). By installing or using DocVault you agree to them. If you do not agree, uninstall the app. Our privacy policy explains how data is handled.
The app
DocVault is a document scanner and PDF toolkit. Scanning, auto-edge crop, ID-card capture, QR scanning, PDF tools, redaction, conversion and reading run on your device. There is no DocVault account and no DocVault cloud. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use DocVault on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Google Play’s terms.
Your content
You keep all rights in documents, photos and files you scan or import. You are responsible for that content and for having the right to scan or process it. Do not use DocVault to copy documents you are not allowed to copy, or to process other people’s identity documents without a lawful reason.
Because processing is on-device, we cannot recover files you delete, or files lost if you uninstall the app, lose the device, or forget a backup password.
Free version, ads, and Pro
The free version may show ads. Google’s ad SDK may collect advertising identifiers, approximate location from IP, app interactions and diagnostics, as described in the privacy policy. Document content is never sent to the ad SDK.
Optional paid products (including DocVault Pro and Remove ads) are sold through Google Play. Prices, billing periods, trials and renewals are shown on the Play purchase sheet. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in Google Play; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid. Play processes payment. Refunds follow Google Play’s policies.
A purchase unlocks features on that Google account / device according to Play. We do not offer a fake in-app unlock. Debug or QA builds may include a test unlock that is not available in the Play release.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app except as allowed by law
- Use DocVault to break the law, including fraud or unauthorised access to systems
- Attempt to bypass ads or paid features except through a genuine Play purchase or restore
QR codes and scanned links can be malicious. DocVault does not guarantee that a scanned code is safe. Check destinations before you open them.
Permissions
Camera is used to capture pages and codes after you choose to scan. An optional PIN or fingerprint lock only protects the app on the device. Internet is used for ads (free) and Play Billing, not to upload your documents.
If you use the file manager, DocVault asks for All files access (storage on Android 8–10). You choose whether to grant it, and you can withdraw it at any time in Android settings. With it you can rename, copy, move and delete files on your phone through DocVault. Those operations change your own files and cannot be undone by us: deleting or overwriting a file through DocVault is the same as doing it in any other file manager, so check before you confirm. DocVault never uploads, analyses or shares the files it can see, and it never reads other apps’ private data.
Disclaimer
DocVault is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that scanning, OCR, redaction or conversion will be complete, accurate, or fit for a particular legal or archival purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nuvora Labs is not liable for lost documents, lost profits, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for DocVault in the 12 months before the claim, or zero if you used only the free version.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be waived under consumer law in your country.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. We may stop offering DocVault or particular features. You may stop using it at any time by uninstalling.
