QR Studio

Privacy policy

What this app does

QR Studio scans and creates QR codes and barcodes on your device. A network connection is used only if you sign in to create Dynamic QR codes (editable links) or subscribe to Pro.

Camera

The camera is used solely to detect barcodes in the live preview after you accept the on-screen disclosure. Preview frames are processed on your device. We do not upload, record, or share camera frames.

On-device history

Successful scans and codes you create are stored in a local database on this device so you can reopen them. Free accounts keep the 20 newest items. You can delete individual items or clear history in Settings. This data is not sent to our servers.

Dynamic QR accounts

If you sign in with Google to create a Dynamic QR, we store your Google account identifier, email (if provided), and the destination URLs you register. When someone scans that Dynamic QR, we record a timestamp, coarse country (if available), and a hashed user-agent so we can show scan totals. We do not sell this data. We do not collect GPS or city-level location.

Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store. We receive a purchase token to unlock Pro. We do not store your full payment card details.

Advertising

The Free plan shows Google AdMob ads (native, interstitial, and app-open). Ad unit IDs are loaded from our server when the app starts and cached on the device. Pro does not show ads. Ads are not placed on the camera preview, paywall, or intro.

What we do not do

No hidden vault. No overlay after calls. No sale of scan data. Scanned static QR contents stay on your device.

Your choices

You can deny camera permission and still create codes or scan from an image. You can sign out, delete Dynamic codes, and request account deletion from Settings.
